A Belated Happy Veteran's Day and I'm All Over the Place

Signs that you've got way too much shiz going on in your life?  That I worked on this post for three days... THREE EFFING DAYS... last week, and all I got was the title and "hey bleeps" done.

Well, this post was to be my annual "thank you to our service members and their family" post that honors my Pop-Pop and all the other folks who serve (my father in law, my cousin-in-law, my other grandfather, and several friends!)...

...And then my Pop had to go into the hospital.  He's ok, it's just normal 91-years-old stuff.  But it also meant that I spent a lot of time in the hospital this week.

But, fortunately he was well enough to do the family sign for "I'm Ok":

Plus, working on all this nonsense...

Asbestos is removed... but sadly, I don't think the Gold Elephants are going to make it.

All I can say is God Bless my mother and Nana (she's above) for removing 40-year-old wallpaper with strings in it.  It took days, those ladies have the work ethic I WISH I had inherited. 

Yep, we're in full-blown renovation mode.  Resurfacing and repairing walls and ceilings, priming and painting all happening now, next up is tile and carpet.  Between all this, Pop, and work, my head is still spinning.

So, just wanted to check in and say hi so you know I didn't drop off the planet (again).  And I'll be back later this week to update you on something else...

Or perhaps we should call it a new segment... "Where in the World is Pappy SanDiego?"

I had to add the SanDiego part, because I can still hear that theme song in my head.

Anywhodoodle... I'll give you a hint.  My Pop THINKS my dad is in Alaska.  This is untrue, because we're certain if we told him where my dad actually it, it really would kill him.  More to come...
